African Skies...
Observing daylight unfold this morning gave me inspiration… Watching the silhouette of a few distant Wood Pigeons in flight against the blue sky with pink tinged clouds dotted here and there moved me into a more ambitious mode… gone were the skies of the North of England… the backdrop was the tropical skies of Africa… The Wood Pigeons were now a flock of Cranes… or returning Swallows in the south of Africa. And of course I’d be kitted out with better camera equipment, to bring some spectacular views of what I saw. Whatever the romantic venue, it looks as if my hunger for the wild is still there, and its telling me to travel. So, the romance in my life isn’t wrote off completely then!
Starlings lined the rooftops, and the odd dove flew from lamppost to rooftop, and in the background a single Song Thrush bellowed out his tones, on my saunter around the block earlier.
