I’ve not seen the blue tits sneak any feeder goodies, and also, I’ve not seen any of the little chaps, anywhere! But then as I’ve mentioned on many occasions our garden birds seem to be absent at the moment. Today however, I managed to see the family of Long-tailed tits, that cross the courtyard on their journeys, haven’t seen them very often either. I took some quick shots of them, before their very brief stay on one of the courtyard trees was over.
For a moment I thought I saw a glint of blue among the numbers, on closer inspection twer true!I counted 5 Blue tits on the tree.
Both Long-tailed and Blue, flew to the tree at the same time. It is the same tree the Blue-tits use as a launch pad to the feeder. This time however, they didn’t use the feeder, maybe deterred by the number.
I just wish I’d had a speedier reflex action on my camera, and a longer lens, I think I’d have gotten some great shots today. But beggars can’t be…, right?!
