Beneath the dull skies on Monday I headed out through farmland, amongst wildflower and green craggy pathways, and onto the trek that led me to more natural splendour. The Swallows, which will always thrill me, the experience of standing five or ten feet away from their dance in and out of the Wheatfields, and not even losing them in the dull skies, as they soared upward before hanging and swooping between a wide gap in the hedgerow, where I was standing looking out for the Goldfinch I spotted last time. From one Wheatfield to the other.

I decided not to take any photos of the Swallows today, I made it my mission to try and spot a Yellowhammer and get a photo or two… I did both, photo’s didn’t turn out very good, batteries had wore down in my camera, I replaced them after my Yellowhammer experience. Too late!!!
I didn’t get too many great photos today anyway, I just wanted to stand still and feel the wind in my face, Take my time over the scenery, sit among the grass and do some thinking.
And take shelter from the downpour I got caught in.
