Acornwatch Finale...
I think we’re going to draw a line under Acornwatch. We’ve had seven days, and I think that’s enough for the size of operations here. The Blue-tits are still visiting the feeder, although ironically no visits today (whilst I was up or filming), apart from a confused Blue-tit, wondering where the feeder had gone, I was washing it and restocking it, she sat on the open window frame for a bit, then flew off. They may have been to visit between filming, I can only film 264MB at a time now. My 1GB Seems to have reduced to this through overuse I fear. Better equipment is desperately needed!
I believe we have 4 Blue-tits, 2 Adults and 2 juvenile, definitely a family, there is a fifth, older than the two juveniles, maybe from a past brood, who I’ve seen visit separately from the rest.
I’ll keep watching the Blue-tits, but not as intense, if I notice anything noteworthy I’ll pass it on.
The final in the series of videos (below), has been edited down a lot, this was taken from the one memory card upload, before I wiped it for the next 120mins filming. Here I show three visits to the feeder over a 120 minute shift. I’ve whittled it down from an amazing fifteen visits in that shift. Actually, for upload ease I’ve had to reduce it to two, I wanted to show the final visit but it was too long and confused the upload process.
I’ll try and show outtakes from this and others, including more shifts from that day (day7) at some stage, and as I go, plus a bit more on the behaviour of the Blue-tits.
Thank-you for watching.
Look out for the Acornwatch video poll.
