The Thirsty Traveller…
Apologies for the unimaginative title, but a thirsty traveller is exactly what I was, with the heat, and the trek, not that it was that far, but there was nature that I planned to explore beyond the inn, once I’d quenched my thirst, and then the trek home. So a thirty minute respite at a local inn was logical more than pleasurable, maybe a bit of both…
The beer was fine, tall and chilled, and set me nicely on my way. Although not advisable if I was planning a proper nature trek, water only, and plenty of it!
I did do some sound seeing for the podcast, but I only had the recording facility on my mobile phone, and the result wasn’t too clever, but we’ll see, maybe I can clean it up. Speaking of which, I only came out with my phone, so I was using the camera on it to take some snaps…
The place of interest was opposite the inn, beyond a long avenue of trees, which opened up to acres of green land. I hung around for a while breathing it all in, took a few pics, that didn’t turn out great, but it didn’t matter, it was a beautiful day, and I had wonderful scenery, and I was surrounded by wildlife… a pair of restless butterflies chasing each other up and down the woodchip path that boarded the immediate field weren’t ever going to sit still for my lens, which was a pity, as this species I don’t believe I’d photographed before. There were many other insects, I’m sure if I’d hung around longer, and was more prepared I’d have surely spotted the odd mammal or two, I did spot a Swallow, Starling on the wasy home were in a bit of a frenzy, but I did video a mother Starling feeding her young, I’ll try and publish it soon.
