And wait for Summer's bloom to come…
It was warm and a little humid, with a sun that never quite made it through the haze. This was the setting that accompanied my walk to the supermarket and back. Picking up a few sundries from the supermarket was really just an unavoidable irritation on the way to my local park…
Any wildlife spotting started way before I reached the park, not that this visit was about that, just wanted to chill, and breath in the aura, but sat hidden amongst an avenue of Daffs, at the side of a very busy road, was a single Moorhen, spotted only by it’s bright red beak, standing out against the yellow backdrop of the Daffs. As I got closer for a better look, I spooked the poor little thing.
I sat in the park for about half an hour, where I encounted the same species of fly, that I haven’t seen since 2006... the Alien flies were back! They didn't appear to be giving me too much trouble, as they did two Summers ago on the trail though, so I tried to ignore them and carry on enjoying the atmosphere around me… The leaf now starting to embellish the trees was a very, very welcome sight!
