It's St Georges day today, and I'm all for slaying the dragon, come-on! what?
My rotation system worked in my favour today, it was a beautiful day for my walk. A walk I desperately needed, although when I first got up today, I didn't think I'd be going anywhere fast - I was very achey all over following yesterdays chores.
I soon became flexible again, and after getting ready and cleaning my walking boots ect.. headed out.
The rotation system isn't set in stone, it can be flexible and it's not for ever, it's just suiting me at the moment till I can get some help with some of the jobs I need to do. When I stay in I can get on with work without the anxiety and stress of feeling that I must go out, and knowing from experience that I let things slip if I'm out every day, it depends on my stamina I suppose, which has been lacking recently - hence the rotation system. When my stamina is back to normal I can scrap the rotation system.
after twenty minutes I was home, I hadn't taken any photos, hadn't stopped once to take in the scenery and atmsophere, I wasn't alone to do so, there were a few male teens on the farmland path and I felt uncomfortable taking my camera out or even stopping, I think they would have found it a bit wierd that I kept stopping and getting my camera out especially as housing backs on to the farmland. I didn't want to provoke a scene.
When I got to my street after twenty minutes, I carried on past and the walk in the end lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes, which felt just about right, I even got back to the farmland, and shot some film. WALK SOUNDA blue Tit that at first with the sun in my eyes I mistook for a great tit.
The RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) pocast hosted by Jane Markham that I mentioned yesterday was a little grim for me this time (the "Spring" edition), as well as last time (the "Winter" edition) and lacked the entertainment value I was seeking . I am sure that future editions of "Bird Notes" will be more upbeat.
