To See The Swallows Fly...
I promised myself on Monday on my trek, that at the same time on Friday I would try and do the same… the trek and to try and get another glimpse of the Swallows, if they were about. I did the same trek, and yes the Swallows were about, in the same place. I sidestepped protocol and wandered my way up the farmhouse path to see a couple of the horses that were enclosed there. From there I could see that there were more Swallows swooping around above the farmhouse and surrounding buildings, as you’d expect, I counted about two high numbered broods.
The weather was very warm, with an interchangeable breeze, which was very welcome, as it cooled the brow and cleared the way.
I decided to take my dad along today, for a bit of company, he seemed to really enjoy it, we bonded and swapped tales of nature. We rounded the day off at the local watering hole, with a beer and some well deserved pub grub.
