It’s Spring!
Its been a long while since I posted an entry into the columns here at Acorn Radio. This is purely down to technical problems I’ve been experiencing, and not some form of Blog-Fade...
I’m writing this off-line and on another, older machine. Wow, how did I ever manage using this machine - I didn’t! It’s so slow, very prehistoric and very frustrating, as has been the case over the last two weeks.
I’ve been able to get on my current machine, for about ten minutes every other day, to maybe do one thing before it crashes. Only twice in that two weeks has it allowed me to update my ipod. Yesterday was one of the two days that this happened, in fact the machine stayed on for an hour, but I unfortunately can not multi-task on it, or rather I dare not risk it.

Yesterday’s experience has given me the confidence that with a bit of luck, I will be able to publish this column.
If I had funding I could have had the problem fixed, I’ve had a promise of a loan to help me get it looked at. With more funding I would have liked to modernise this old machine. to the maximum the motherboard allows. It would have been nice to have broadband internet access, but I couldn’t get the cables.
This keyboard is smaller, but I find it easier to handle when typing, than my current keyboard, maybe I’ll switch?
It’s been very difficult viewing my recent crop of photographs on this machine, of which I need to do with some speed, to get a perspective on what will work on the blog post and which ones I need to trim and resize. So as I’m writing this I still don’t know whether there’ll be any photo input. I really do need my current machine to be working to perform this process.
Just to let you know that the Sparrow pair in my courtyard have a brood, which have now fledged, the Wood-Pigeon pair interested in the vacated Blackbird nest have shown more interest in making it their home.
I’ve been out on several short treks. Not taken too many photos, but I do plan on a longer trek very soon! Especially as Spring is now here.
And I desperately need more memory for my camera!!!
Hopefully publishing has been successful and you are reading this on the Acorn Radio site. I’ll try and get another post published anon.
