My lens just to say picked out this Song Thrush (below) from the shadows of the fence and hedge. It was just a little too far out of reach for my camera to return a decent quality image. The Song Thrush's numbers are in serious decline. As are the House Sparrows. Image of the male (left) seen here keeping a watchful eye out for predators, whilst (out of shot) the female tends to her nest (The main nesting season is from April to August, although I believe their nesting behaviour is flexible as I've witnessed in the last couple of days) . This pair of Sparrows have just returned to this patch to begin rearing young. (House Sparrow - Breeding) I'll try and keep an update of their progress.
