Dogs, Dogs, Dogs... Oh yeah, and Heron! A Night Heron to be precise, not native to these parts, seen normally in hotter climates of Central and Southern Europe and Africa. It's been spotted here since May, and a local I spoke to today, informed me that the Heron could be seen here (perched on the branch they pointed to) on mornings when the dog was walked. Which segments neatly in to the title of this post 'DOGS', yes, many a dog tried to take home with it a
piece of the author of this post, today, OK, one tried to eat my mobile phone, others ran at pace behind me and beside me, there was a lot of dogs in a small space for walking, it was fine once I'd reached the top of the spiralling stairway, from the bottom, into the open of the park, where we all had a lot more room. The owners seemed responsible enough. It was a little awkward to concentrate on getting any decent media today, my batteries ran out on my camera, and I lost the best piece of media I'd had chance to take, but there is this, it is something at least, apologies for the all round poor cinematographic qualities of the video!

I'll be back over to my local park to try and spot the Night Heron, and capture some better footage. I missed out on a lot of photographic opportunities today!
