The weather was awful today, not cold, not that warm either, just miserable which meant I did not go country-side as planned, but I was determined to get outdoor, get some well needed cardio and fresh air.
The stormy weather thankfully didn't stop me getting out. I headed over to the park. I didin't think that I would be able to make it into the jungle part of the park, always in mind that it was very stormy, therefore access would be hindered slightly and conditions would make it pointless. To my surprise I did manage to find a path through, and made my way back sticking to the path that borders the river, which takes you to the steep spiraling stairway to the top. from there I strolled slowely in the rain, taking in the beauty around me, the tall trees with their leaves glistening from the rainwater, the lush greenbelts falling all around me and the birdsong amplified by the absence of human voices. The stormy conditions give you a different perspective especially when it comes to photography. You are working more with a dull light rather than sunlight. (well, der?!). If I hadn't gone out in the rain today I would have missed the cascading waterfall at it's best (due to the rainfall). A still photo doesn't quit capture the atmosphere it creates when it's bursting with water. The green smells all around were breathtaking.
