I'd kindly been given a set of three shelves. I'd pencilled in today to attempt to put them up, or at least put the wall brackets up, ready for when I get the supports to hold the shelves.
Before I get started I would have to remove the existing attractive shelf that I would find a new home for above my desk in my study.
All I'll say is that the whole "Straight forward" project was the complete opposite, it took about six or seven hours, taking into account breaks and meal making and eating time.
My back was of course worse for ware, and yes worse for ware than the wall (I don't want to talk about it). I'll have to take a refresher course in D.I.Y.
The main thing is the shelf above my desk is up, plumb straight and has helped unclutter my desk giving me room to breath. There's still a lot of reorganising remaining to take care of.
I've never had ro take that much strain in my back for a long time.
See pics for todays weather.
But the day didn't end to bad
