USELESS 'CONTENT' DESCRIPTIONS

It has been a glorious sunny day today.
I tried to relax a bit following
yesterdays paperwork marathon, but there were still some phone calls to make...
in other words - I'll be hanging around on hold passed from department to department, and still non the wiser...
Far too stressful - which was how this day did turn out.

When the sitcom 'Friends' first came on the tv I was always too busy to see it, so recently I've been trying to catch up. Over the past couple of years I've tried to record the repeated episodes so one day I can sit down and make a start, I am aware that it is an on-going story, so I'd like to be able to watch them in order. It's not that important in the whole scheme of things, but when it comes to leisure time activities at the end of the day you'd at least want it to have some kind of structure, right?
I'm up to series seven at the moment. series on
e was a gift from my sister Angela, and I'd like to thank her for getting me started, series five was a gift from my Brother Martin - again thanks especially as I had series six, I'd watched series four and no one was showing series five which was frustrating, not important, but I was hooked and craved more. So I'm looking out for tv stations showing the episodes I'm up to, I could wait a few weeks for channel 4 to catch up to where I am, but they show weekend episodes out of sequence which could be the episodes I am missing. In this fast food, digital age, why do I have to use three different mediums to find out what episodes the weekend shows are, or any of the shows on any of the other tv stations?
First I look in the tv guide - A very respectable tv guide - This gives a brief description of the episodes conte
nt, which is fine if I want the story ruining for me (I bet if you knew the football results before print you'd give the results away under 'Match Of The Day' ('Match Of The Day' - that's a whole other can of worms - but I'm not one of those that calls it Liverpool TV and they get free publicity I'm not one of those people who says that the BB_ gets bums on the Anfield seats ($), and empties the Riverside with help from the gazzette press)
I digress. So the Hard copy TV guide Friends description didn't help, I then have to switch my TV on, guide my way
through the digital tv guide - Their description is not much better -'The One With ...' what?! it's now time to switch on my PC. I'll have to go on-line now, search for Friends seasons and episodes, eventually I come across a site with the relevent information. I cross-referance to the descriptions I already have, and I'm sorted. I'm up to series seven not to bad if it only happened once, but I'm describing dozens of times, this has happened after the first few times the web site was put into my favourites, a few more times - I made a hard copy of the list of Seasons and Episodes. I am aware that there are other TV guide magazines that are cheaper and have the series and episode printed, but apart from this, I like this magazine - it's high brow. I did stop using it though because of the 'Friends' and other programmes info with useless content descriptions. I have purchased it the last couple of weeks only because I had money off/win a prize vouchers. And still they have useless info, some programmes that they list, I admit, do have the Series/episode tags - but not all including Friends.

SORRY, Sports Editor - drunk.
